4WD Weekend Near Gold Coast & Brisbane 

The Springs 4X4 Park Queensland


Looking for a 4WD weekend near Brisbane or the Gold Coast? Banter M8s 4X4 Weekend 2026 is a two-day off-road camping and adventure weekend designed to bring blokes together through M8ship, challenge and shared experience.


Hosted by Beyond The Banter at The Springs 4X4 Park, Queensland, this event is about getting out on the tracks, learning new skills, backing your mates and enjoying a proper weekend away.


Located approx. 2.5 hours from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, it’s an easy road trip for anyone chasing a 4x4 adventure weekend in South East Queensland.


Proudly teamed up with Venue Partner The Springs 4X4 Park, with the official beginner convoy led by Team Bree Offroad.


The Weekend


This year’s event has two ways to be part of it.


VIP Banter M8s – Beginner Convoy

Perfect for blokes who own a 4WD but want to build confidence, learn practical off-road skills and enjoy guided support.
Includes:

  • Guided beginner convoy 
  • Practical 4WD learning 
  • Confidence-building tracks 
  • Knowledge sharing 
  • Saturday night camping at Main Camp 
  • Official guided experience led by Team Bree Offroad 

Ideal for:

  • New 4WD owners 
  • Drivers wanting off-road confidence 
  • Mates wanting to learn together 
  • Anyone wanting a structured 4WD weekend experience 


M8s Weekend – Open Track Access

For mates wanting to enjoy The Springs 4X4 Park their own way.


Includes:

  • Self-guided access across beginner to extreme tracks 
  • Saturday night camping 
  • Access to the wider weekend atmosphere 

All self-guided access operates under normal park rules and conditions.

Perfect for experienced drivers, mates groups and those wanting a full off-road camping weekend.

Main Camp Hub

Main Camp is the social heart of the weekend.

Expect:

  • Camping with your mates 
  • BBQ and good banter 
  • Sponsor displays 
  • Convoy meet-ups 
  • Relaxed weekend atmosphere 

VIP participants are based at Main Camp.

Open Track Access holders may choose Main Camp or other park camping areas, subject to availability.


Beer O’Clock Hill

Beyond The Banter Co-Founder Chris “Topher” Naylor plans to have a crack at Beer O’Clock Hill during the weekend.


It’s not about getting to the top.
It’s about having a go.


However:

  • Beer O’Clock Hill is not part of the official event program 
  • It is not included in registered participant activities 
  • Any attempts are entirely voluntary 
  • Participation falls under normal park activity and venue rules 

 

What This Is (and Isn’t)

This isn’t a course. This isn’t a retreat.Just good people, real adventure and better conversations.



Why We’re Doing It

Beyond The Banter helps blokes connect earlier, speak up sooner and back each other through the tough stuff. Sometimes the best conversations happen side by side, not face to face.

Do I need a 4WD?

Yes. Both ticket options require your own suitable 4WD vehicle.


Can beginners attend?

Absolutely. The VIP Beginner Convoy is built specifically for beginners and newer off-road drivers.


Can experienced drivers attend?

Yes. Open Track Access is ideal for drivers wanting to enjoy all available track levels under park rules.


Can I come solo?

Yes. Come solo or but we recommend tagging a M8 to get the most of the experience.


Is camping included?

Yes. Saturday night camping is included with both ticket options.


Is Beer O’Clock Hill part of the event?

No. It is not part of the official event schedule or registered participant program.


Is this a race or competition?

No. This is a recreational community weekend focused on adventure, mateship and learning.


How far is The Springs 4X4 Park from Brisbane?

Approximately 2.5 hours depending on traffic and departure point.


How far is it from the Gold Coast?
